Cable is connected, as it should. Is an excellent system, but it would be better if I get the inputs working for television

Make sure that the cable to the audio output of your TV. In addition, you must find the menu on the TV and audio tab should not there an option to turn off the TV speakers, you do so. and, last but not least, make sure you selected the correct input on the audio receiver.
